DXB Diaries 2016

Right after our wedding my husband had a work trip to dubai to attend the ARY Film Awards and of course I had to come along because that meant seeing the star studded event live in action instead of on tv. We only stayed for 3 days so we didn’t have much time to sight see but we got in a few spots before we left that we would definitely visit again on our next trip there.

We stayed at the Movenpick Hotel @ The JLT and the room and view were 10/10 for us.

We also visited JBR Walk during the day and night. Both times it was so fun and the restaurants there were great especially since they had the view of the beach. We had lunch at Smokey Beach and the slider burgers I ordered were to DIE for. Definitely check it out if you’re visiting. Here is the link to their Facebook Page >>> The Smokey Beach

My Aunt & Uncle live in Dubai so as it was our first trip together they invited us over for a little get together and threw the cutest party in honor of us. Look at how cute this welcome sign was that my aunt made >>>>

We ended up having brunch at Shakespeare & Co and my husband fell in love with the brunch they served there. Not only was the food good but the view was amazing too.

Lastly Before leaving I really wanted to checkout The Miracle Gardens as it was one of my dream places to visit especially since I love flowers. Everything was adorned in flowers in this park and I couldn’t get enough of it. They also had some really yummy restaurants. Do visit the gardens if you’re visiting Dubai it’s a must see. Here are a few snaps from our visit there >>>

    1. Thanks It was so much fun ! Wish I could Have stayed longer. You should definitely go someday it’s a great place to visit. Honestly I felt as a female tourist in Dubai there were a lot of benefits. Obviously if you are not familiar with the place you tend to be a little wary of using public transportation but the thing I loved most about Dubai was as soon as I left the airport their were female taxi services available for you within the same price range as the normal taxis. Even though I was traveling with my husband I was happy to see that the safety of women was important to them. Obviously in every culture their are many differences such as the clothes they wear and the food they eat but in Dubai all I saw was respect for each culture whether you were wearing a dress or a full traditional Abaiya you weren’t judged or looked down upon. I felt very safe and comfortable and recently with the horrible events going on all over the world you can never be too safe when traveling because not everyone is as openminded as others. It is definitely on my list of places to visit again 🙂 Hope that helped ! If you have anymore questions let me know.
